I received this "survey" on my facebook page, but figured I could post it here too!!
Basically - just list 25 random facts about yourself. So, here it goes...
1. This is my 3rd time at typing this out. My first two attempts were eaten by the Internet monsters. I’m still a little peeved about it too.
2. It took two failed attempts at this task to make me realize that I should type it in Word first.
3. I was really funny in my first two attempts.
4. Hopefully, I will be funny in this try as well.
5. I have a lot of nicknames. Michael calls me Julz or Julinator, Vic calls me JuJu, Mom calls me The Jewel, Suzy, or Suzy Q (I don’t know why), my dad called me Tootette, and my loving brother calls me by the ever affectionate term of Butthead.
6. I have played a few different instruments in my life including the recorder (haha), piano, cello, flute, and piccolo.
7. I’ve held 3 different job positions during my 7 ½ years at the bank.
8. I love my kids. Even though they may not be my blood, they are still 100% my children, and I feel so blessed to have them in my life.
9. I can pretty much always see the “other side” to an argument. I may not agree with the other side, but I normally see it and will explain why that person may be feeling a certain way.
10. I also question things a lot. I want the facts so I can form my own opinion. I think this comes from having a history of attorneys in the family.
11. By getting married, I have learned that not everyone wants to hear the “other side” and sometimes just want to be heard. This is difficult for me. I want to fix the situation.
12. My favorite color is red but I look best in lavender. I call it my signature color since I always get compliments when I wear it. A lavender day is always a good day!
13. If I can’t sleep, I count. I don’t count sheep because I start visualize them jumping over a fence and that gets me dizzy…so I just count. I know this sounds weird/funny, but it works!
14. In high school, I traveled a lot…it just wasn’t ever with my family. Between band, chorale, and other touring groups, I was able to visit most of the South Eastern states, along with Texas, Illinois, England, and Wales.
15. I’m the loud one.
16. I love card making and hope to one day be a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator…anyone want to have a party??
17. I wish everyone could just get along. Why is there always backstabbing, hurt feelings, and misunderstandings? I always want to fix these situations.
18. My spiritual gift is exhortation. Definition: Language intended to incite and encourage; advice; counsel; admonition. An earnest attempt at persuasion.
19. I can find enjoyment out of almost every type of music.
20. I once won a lip contest in the mall. You had to “kiss” a post-it note and people voted on the best pucker. I won some Origins bath salt scrub.
21. We have two dogs – Maddie and Panda. Panda tends to have accidents in the back area of the living room. We have gated that area off so they can’t get back there. For some reason, she hasn’t taken up peeing elsewhere yet. Dogs are strange.
22. One of my all-time favorite Bible verses is Phil 4:6-7. It gives me such peace.

23. In high school, my BFF Jenny and I started our own business called Memory Mats. Basically, we took picture mats and decorated them to show different high school events. We even made up our own logo for the business. Her father was our investor and our only clients were our mom’s. Even so, they were still really cute!
24. Michael and I planned our wedding around football season. Oct 15 was the perfect date – no home game for OU or OSU (which was also a plus for many of the guests). We contemplated showing the OU game during the reception, but it wasn’t starting until later in the evening (plus might have been a smidgen tacky….nah…my family would have loved it!)
25. I haven't had a haircut in over a year. I need one but can't decide on a style plus I feel like its almost a waist of money since it will just keep growing. (and Yes, I know this is dumb to think this way)

What a weirdo I is!
Julie B tagged me, and I was struggling for a blog topic....so here we go!
7 Random/Weird Facts about mio!
1. Ice is of no importance to me. I can live without it. Warm beverages or cold one - makes no difference. I lived without an ice maker up until marrying my handy hubby and hating to fill ice trays so I just learned to deal without having a cold drink.
2. I love PB&J sandwiches with chips and salsa topped off with a glass of milk.
3. Towel issue - Don't use mine! Doesn't matter if it is dry when I come back to use it. Don't touch it. I won't go to yours either. Its a usage issue along with a territory issue. Mine is kept in one area and yours in another. My hubby has had to deal with the towel wrath but I think it really stems from my childhood when my brother would use my towel after football practice. GROSS!
4. Call it weird or a talent but I know at least part of almost every song on the radio....doesn't really even matter what station. Some songs I know and I have no earthly idea how I know them. I think this stems from high school when my BFF Jenny and I listened to songs over and over again in order to learn all the words....now I do it instinctively and am hardly aware of it.
5. I rub my feet together to relax. It also helps me fall asleep. Its a family thing too. My dad did it as well as my brother and nephew.
6. I have a "Need to File" file in my filing cabinet. Many of items have been in it for years.
7. I often mispronounce the word toilet. I never realized this until my dear hubby pointed it out. I often add an 'R' to it and end up with it sounding like 'torlit.' Normally when I try hard to pronounce it correctly is when I get it wrong. Michael always notices and always cracks up and my Okie pronunciation.

Ya...its a cop out...sue me!
Welcome to the new 2008 edition of getting to know your family and friends. Here is what you are supposed to do, and try not to be lame and spoil the fun. I'm tagging all my blogger friends...so if you read this...ya gotta do it!

1. What is your occupation right now?
Banker Extraordinaire, Parent to two fabulous kids, and Wife to a open hearted, loving hubby.
2. What color are your socks right now?
I'm so embarrassed. I'm not wearing socks! (probably TMI, I know!)
3. What are you listening to right now?
The washer running, the TV (which no one is watching right now...how wasteful), the movement of a walmart sack that Shelby is filling with who knows what, and Austin trying to get her attention.
4. What was the last thing that you ate?
A brownie...and yes, I just had ONE. Yeah me.
5. Can you drive a stick shift?
I can do the shifting part when someone yells, "Shift!"
6. Last person you spoke to on the phone?
My momma
7. Do you like the person who sent this to you?
Yes, it was my Aunt Charlene...aka Annie Chuck or Char
8. How old are you today?
31 years 2 months and 1 day
9. What is your favorite sport to watch on TV?
Football. Preferably OU Football
10. What is your favorite drink?
Dt. Dr. Pepper, Raspberry Ice Tea (fountain variety), and Starbucks Vanilla Latte with Hazelnut.
11. Have you ever dyed your hair?
A few times in college but I leave it Au-naturel these days.
12.Favorite food?
Depends on my mood. Mexican sounds yummy right about now.
13. What is the last movie you watched?
Oceans 13. I would say it was an ok movie but the first was a ton better.
14. Favorite day of the year?
I have several. My anniversary is the one I chose to answer with today.
15. How do you vent anger?
Depends on with whom I am angry. If I'm angry with my hubby or close friends - I will tell them. Hubby should already know before I even say I'm angry. If I'm angry with a random person, then I'll still probably vent to my hubby or close friends.
16. What was your favorite toy as a child?
Probably my Barbies, My Little Ponies, and Strawberry Shortcake Dolls. I loved all the girly stuff
17. What is your favorite season?
Tie between Fall and Winter but both have drawbacks (all seasons do really).
With Fall, comes football season, pretty leaves as the trees change, and cool weather, BUT you also have to rake those lovely leaves and end up with tons of wind in Oklahoma.
As for Winter, I love the snow falling where it covers all the grass and the streets are wet but not slick. You get hot chocolate and fires and s'mores, BUT you get ice storms and black ice and sleet.
18. Cherries or Blueberries?
Cherries totally cherries.
19. Living arrangements?
With my hubby, 2 kids, and 2 dogs.
20. When was the last time you cried?
I think 2 nights ago but wasn't like a BIG cry.
21. What is on the floor of your closet?
Some shoes
22. What did you do last night?
Rocked out with the family and blogged about it.
23. What are you most afraid of?
Death of a loved one. Also kinda scared about business leaving Ponca.
24. Plain, cheese, or spicy hamburgers?
cheese
25. Favorite dog breed?
Shi-tzus of course!
26. Favorite day of the week?
Saturday
27. How many states have you lived in?
One - ya kinda boring but I like Oklahoma

diamonds baby! they are a girl's BFF

Stargazer Lily or Roses (without baby's breath - I hate baby's breath)
